My most favourite book in the whole wide world, as a child, was the "Magic Faraway Tree" series written by Enid Blyton. I must have read them over and over so many times. I loved the little magical characters and the way you could escape to magical lands at the top of the tree. And also how brave the children were, when it was a risk to see if it was a good or bad land. I loved them. They were almost my friends. As an adult, I purchased the series as a lovely illustrated set, that I treasure.
