Australias Biggest Cheapskate

Recently, the TV program 'A Current Affair' ran a request for "Australia's Biggest Cheapskate". I am known among friends and family as being rather frugal with my money and making it stretch amazingly far, with some very quirky ways of doing it. They often tease me, so when this request was thrown out to Australia, my brother threatened to "dob me in". Wary of what he may say, I sent my own email off to the program. I thought I was relatively safe as there would be bigger cheapskates out there than me, and I believed that those shows never really bothered coming to small towns. Well, I was wrong on both counts! They chose me as one of their 4 finalists and DID come to my small town to film and interview me. What an experience! It was all a bit of fun and I enjoyed the experience. But it made me think ... why not embrace this side of me and share with others. Add a page to my BLOG and get others to share their tips as well. After all, we all would like to stretch our dollar further and have more left over for treats for ourselves.
